Many of us are using social applications to help us automate our various tweets, pings, plurks, and other assorted comments on the Web. One of the dangers that I ran into this morning was what happens when social apps conflict and/or compete.
I had set up Ping.fm to help me post to many social networks at once (i.e. Twitter, Friendfeed, Plurk, Hi5, etc.). Somehow, I managed to include my Blogger blogs as well. Imagine my surprise this morning when I discovered that my tweets were being posted to my blog! It was especially bad becaue I was demonstrating the difference between blogging platforms and Twitter. :-(
Needless to say, I sped over to Ping, and edited the list of networks as soon as I could. Now, I am off to check some of the other apps I use to make sure similar problems will not occur elsewhere in my content.
